The other day we were eating tacos at a great local taqueria. After we were done we started talking about how girls love clothes, shoes, bags etc. Yessenia who is in charge of Marketing and sales pointed out a really good idea, so we kept brainstorming on it.

As we talked we came up with different marketing schemes and concepts to make our idea work. Ashley had her take on it, which made it better.

So we finally decided, we are coming out with a all girls line, when I mean all girls I mean it. From top to bottom we will try to cover the look for Dimex girls.

We will release the name for it in the future, Julian Approved and said let’s go home, well he didn’t say it but forced us to leave because he was going crazy.

Hello, and happy late new year. I hope all you had a great end of the year with lot’s of great eating and cultural practices. I tried to get every single thing recorded last month because a lot of stuff was going on. Got a new retailer, got some more designs prepared for printing, decided to add a new branch for the Dimex brand and all of the Holidays celebration Ill post all that in a bit.

But as the year starts I wanted to start fresh, with new ideas, a new environment and a fresh store for the loyal Dimex Followers. But first, you have to surround yourself with who you represent and what you are so I switch up the office and made it look more at home. Enjoy.

Chicano Art So Bad ASS…PPM Event

We headed out to the Chicano Art So Bad Ass Event In Cal State Fullerton thrown by our good friends from Puro Pedo Magazine and got there early this time, found the school but couldn’t find the hall where the show was at. Frustrated by looking everywhere we tried everything to find the place I went inside the hall and found some janitors talking and asked them about the show and gave me directions to the MeCha office in the building, we found it and it wasn’t there but we were close because we saw the flyer in their bulletin board. So we go back out and ask the dude again and he directed us to the hall where it was going to be. So we went under bridges, tunnels, holes and jumped fences but we finally found the spot. Im really bad with directions as you can see. HAHA.

Right away I saw live everything, art, music and food. I also saw that a lot of people found the place without a problem. JEJE

This piece was one of my favorites, it’s by NIKO Industrias Illegales and Poets del Norte.

Then the original Insurgentes piece that you see on shirts everywhere.

I don’t know who this artist was but his stuff killed.

This guy too. I met him he was this old dude chilling in the chairs all by him self, so I said hi.

After meeting all the people there and eating all the Italian food and Jarritos they had there we decided to take off, so we said our goodbyes to the crowd and left on our way back we shot this.

It was a fun night and very successful.

PPM-Santa Barbara Show

All the funds were going to scholarships for immigrant students, now if I knew there was help like this back then, it would of been a whole different story. JEJE. I think The Salud one sold. Wassup Guys, finally back from the lag hole. This past friday we had our Dimex Night at La Cueva Night Club in Moreno Valley, “That shit was popping” I wanted to introduce the new line so we had a release party there. I have been a “CUEVERO’ since ‘01 that’s seven years ago, the place is super chill and the music is classic. DJ Rolando who’s been in the game for a really long time knows his crowd and knows what the people want. So what does he do every Friday night? He gives it to them, honestly you can’t stop dancing, from Rock en Español, 80’s Flashbacks, Cumbia, Merengue, Some Reggaeton, Electronic, Industrial, and sometimes even Hip-Hop. After a long night of dancing the drinks taste like water and Tacos after the night is over feel like when your mom used to tuck you in after eating some pan dulce con leche. Anyways the place is dope and look forward on doing more events like this in the future. Shout out to Dimex’s official Photographer Martune who took all the photos, came out cool man.
