I remember my first time I went to La Cueva. They were in a huge night club called El Patio in Rialto, it was 2001 I was around 17 still in high school and was going through a phase where all I would listen to was corridos. One day my friends invited me so I tagged along and went for the ride. My first Rock en Español club, I was surprised to see how people danced and dressed at this new club and to top it off the type of music that was played. I had grown up listening to this type of rolas because of my dad. He would bump it through his little boom box while working out. El Tri, Caifanes and Mana just to name a few. I felt good, connected, I felt welcomed, Cueva spoke Culture to me. This Friday they will be celebrating their 14th birthday, it has been 10 years since the first day I set foot there and to this day I feel the same thing when I walk into this Club. Join us this Friday to celebrate a decade of Rock en Español and to be part of el Desmadre. The line-up at the Jump. Nos vemos.
When La Cueva a local Rock en Español club here in the Inland Empire brought La Maldita Vecindad to their club for a unforgettable performance, the band got in me one more follower along with the many who had never seen them in their life. We met them backstage took pictures with them and had the change to talk for a bit. I was about 19 or so when I got to sing to Pachuco and Kumbala. The latest news are saying that they are about to split up for a while but let’s let the news people tell you more about that, I just want to remember my Maldita experience exactly the way it happened nine years ago. Read the article here.
I’ll write it once and I’ll write it again, La Cueva is the number one Latino Alternative Rock En Español Night Club in the Nation. You feel like family once you attend, it never changes, nine years of attending almost twice a month and I still cant’ get tired of it. Check it out for yourselves this friday 4711 Mission Blvd. Ontario, CA 91762, nos vemos por hay.
Wassup Guys, finally back from the lag hole. This past friday we had our Dimex Night at La Cueva Night Club in Moreno Valley, “That shit was popping” I wanted to introduce the new line so we had a release party there. I have been a “CUEVERO’ since ’01 that’s seven years ago, the place is super chill and the music is classic. DJ Rolando who’s been in the game for a really long time knows his crowd and knows what the people want. So what does he do every Friday night? He gives it to them, honestly you can’t stop dancing, from Rock en Español, 80′s Flashbacks, Cumbia, Merengue, Some Reggaeton, Electronic, Industrial, and sometimes even Hip-Hop. After a long night of dancing the drinks taste like water and Tacos after the night is over feel like when your mom used to tuck you in after eating some pan dulce con leche. Anyways the place is dope and look forward on doing more events like this in the future. Shout out to Dimex’s official Photographer Martune who took all the photos, came out cool man.
