Plaza Olvera In LA

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA
What Up guys?  DIMEX here, coming back for another story in the crazy process of getting new accounts and getting ready to print new tees.  This time we found ourselves in the one and only Olvera Street or as many people call it “La Plazita Olivera” or at least that’s how I always thought it was called, until now, “hay que pendejo” jeje. I first saw this cool place back when I was in the process of becoming a resident of the U.S. because it’s across the street from the INS building in Downtown LA. This is the place I always used to go to after me and my mom would finish our business at the INS building. I used to hate the INS building “con odio Jarocho” we used to get there at 5:30 AM or even sometimes sleep there just to get a number to get attended. Talking about a waste of time to me in those days, of course now I thank my mom for beating it into my head that If I was going to do something in this country I was going to need some legal documentation, I honestly don’t know for what, Joking.  So I went because she made me. Thanks MOM! :) SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA
We went into a store called Olveritas Village it’s all the way in the back by where the best Taquitos spot I have at in.  The place was full of everything you can think of (culturally traditional speaking).  From Charro suits to small clay Calaquitas for El Dia De Los Muertos.  Of course I had to take some images, 1: For research purposes and 2: To practice on my Photography which I’m trying to improve on, and 3: For you.

This is my type of art.  Honestly I have always loved these type of characters, they are also very expensive and worth every penny, look at all the details.

They even had some Aztec suits, along with every traditional folkloric dress you can think of.  Honestly the closest you can get to beautifully  MEXICAN made artesania.

After Jessenia talked to the owner and showed our product , we headed to one of the Taquito places I was telling you about.  Here’s a picture para que se te haga agua a la boca.

Jessenia was really excited about the order so she couldn’t even eat, but then found out it was really late and we had to get to another store before they closed.  So she wrapped her stuff to go.  Buuuuttt……

I was already finished, jeje.  Soooo good.  Provecho.
