THE MEMORIES ARE STILL ALIVE

dimex_store_memories
As I look down my iphoto library in my computer, I have like 20 albums regarding our first DIMEX store. From the moment we saw it and started the modifications to the point we had to close it down. I look a the images and reminisce on the whole process that we had to go through and laugh at the really good times spent there. Like the day some doped out dude started fighting with my El Muerto Shirt displayed in front of our store front, that was hilarious. A frutero used to come by and sell me freshly diced fruits con Chile y limon, The day my man Hydro 74 was at the DIMEX store, when Los Angeles en Vivo came down and interviewed us and I was hell of nervous and most of all when I would get to meet those loyal customers who would travel from really far away and made sure to pass by the store to introduce them selves and purchase one of our shirts. Thank You all for all the great support brought to the DIMEX store in those six months, all I have now are memories and the experience to create something better and something greater in the future for the brand. We are looking for a new location and will keep you posted on how we are doing. There will be a DIMEX Store soon and it will be greater then ever. LA MARCA VIVE, DIMEX VIVE.

HYDRO 74 VISIT: RECAP

The event was pretty awesome, we opened up the store and started to arrange everything for our guest of honor Hydro 74, people started to get here early they all wanted their free Hydro silk screened prints and sticker with key chain packages. The computer was playing some clean cut Cumbias and the refreshments cooled off the hot and humid weather. The DIMEX store was once more poppin’ like in the Grand Opening we go to meet new people and new fans to the DIMEX movement, welcome familia. Thanks to all the DIMEX and Hydro 74 fans that came out, we really appreciate the support and hope to see every one again. Shout out to the people that came from Fresno and Victorville, Yes, I’m talking about my homie CASTRO aka Gangsterbilly, also my good friend Rolando Gutierrez who came home after being in Toluca, Mexico for about 8 months recuperating and enjoying life to the fullest. Gracias amigos and expect more dope events like this one, with sick artists that are changing the game in the design industry. Oh yeah I have some left over Hydro prints, stickers, and key chains if you want some hit up the DIMEX STORE and mention this post and I will give you a limited edition print. Chido, until next time.

DIMEX INTERN: LUCIO

Hello everyone, this is Lucio Villa the new intern for DIMEX. Let me tell you a little bit about me: I grew up in the city of Compton, CA and moved here to Pomona, CA for school. My passion is photography and multimedia. I love to travel and I always carry along my camera everywhere I go. Check out my photo blog at http://www.luciovilla.wordpress.com. Here at DIMEX I will be helping out with the photography, of course, creating designs for the web and help market the clothing line. I am glad to be a part of DIMEX and I know I will have fun and learn a lot from this company. Paz.

DIMEX STORE HOW LOVELY IT IS

It’s been around three months of pain, stress, love, dedication, art, tears, learning and crazy experiences since we opened our first retail store. We went from getting a place that looked like a dump but with lots of expectations to a place with great ideas and a future of it’s own. It’s been a crazy experience since day one and can’t wait for what the store and my brand holds for the future. I’m doing a lot of art work on the side, coming up with ideas to make the brand a more interactive one and not just another brand that takes your money and runs away, we just did a deal with an online company that eats, breathes and sleeps Latino based Clothing brands and can’t wait on how this company will make our brand grow, I’m coming up with simpler designs with the full DIMEX flavor you all love and most importantly having a blast at doing what I love. All I can say is “Gracias”.
