HAPPY BIRTHDAY APA

Today my dad turns 48 years old. He has been a huge influence in my life, the reason why I set out to start my own company is because of him. We came to the USA 18 years ago, his mission to give us a better opportunity and life here in the USA, this mission is still going and when he decides that it’s completed he will go back to his “Tierra Natal” Guaymas Sonora Mexico. I take his sacrifice as a motivational resource every time I feel like my problems are a big deal, his advice has taken me to the point that I am at now and his support the confidence to count on someone when in need. I remember the stories he used to tell me when I was little, honestly I thought they were real, the way he used to help me with my homework and how he supported me when I wanted to play soccer instead of his favorite sport basketball. “Gracias Jefe”.

Hello all this is Lucio, the DIMEX intern, I asked Christian about starting a picture of the week on the blog. He agreed. From now on, starting today, I will post a picture about anything related to the DIMEX brand.

And what better way to start off the Picture of the Week than the man behind DIMEX:

Christian Vidauarrazaga, 26, is the owner of DIMEX.
DIMEX is a clothing line he started in 2007 and began selling his tee shirts online. Now he has a store located near downtown Pomona on 152 W. Holt Ave. The store opened April 24, 2010.

“Its going slow,” said Vidauarrazaga “but its slowly picking up.”

HYDRO 74 VS DIMEX

This Saturday the 31st Hydro 74 will be visiting the DIMEX Store, he will be giving away some cool prints and a lot of dope goodies. Hydro74 is a well know freelance artist that works out of his office in Orlando Florida. He has worked on projects with namebrands from Nike to Toy companies like Hasbro. BALERO CHALLENGE: ARE YOU IN?

What up friends, yesterday while trying to come up with a way to make our brand a funner and more exciting one we came up with “Regalo Fridays”. It consists of a different cool and fun challenge every Friday at our DIMEX store in Pomona, CA. Our first game has to do with “El Balero”, and it goes like this. Juggle the balero three times in under a minute and you get a free DIMEX shirt. Yup that easy. So let the games begin “Y nos vemos pronto”. Sales.

STORE FRONT BREAKERS

Today as I was getting ready to open the DIMEX Store, I got an email from our neighbor Copy Kwick saying that our store front window was smashed into pieces. So I finished up what I was doing and took off. When I got to the spot I saw that it was all boarded up from outside, our other neighbor from the Iggie’s Antique shop covered the big hole left in front of our store with some left over boards he had. Then I called Pomona PD to see what they had for me, and guess what like anything else that has to do with vandalism or robbery all they had was a stupid report number. Man I don’t need a number I need my window fixed and justice for the crime.I wonder what was the reason for this? Are people really that fucked up, we are here opening up our very first store sacrificing everything we own and spending numerous hours of the day to bring this project to life so one immature, lonely, not enough love from mommy or daddy, “Cholito” can come to my store front and bust the glass like that. Really man, what’s the deal, do you need attention, you know there’s programs for that, they’ll take good care of you. If you are going to be vandalizing stores first off go vandalize the place you love then if you don’t feel like shit then put that energy into something valuable like growing up and getting a life. If you who ever you are, are a Hispanic/Latino dude then I don’t feel mad I just feel sorry for you. We came to this country to better ourselves not to throw away this great opportunity by vandalizing stores and fucking with other people, one day you’ll meet a “Cabron” that will put you into place, knock your thoughts into sense. Anyways, my business is still running our message is still being spread no little incident like this can or will stop the brand from growing nor stop it from succeeding.
