3rd Annual Celebrating Words Festival 2009

So the Day Started off fine, I was kinda tired from the night before but I had to get my stuff together and busted out of my house early, as always the great Café con leche there for the Madrugador.  Driving was easy didn’t get lost like usual with my handy dandy I phone you can find anything.  Another thing my co-pilate (my sister Ashley) was there to keep me awake.

We finally got there and to my surprise it was inside of LA Mission Community College, I had never been there before but like the facilities clean and cut.  Set up took a while since me and Ashley had to carry all our product from the parking lot all the way to the middle of the campus, I don’t even know how many times I went back and forth.  Laying out the booth was easy the setup has been the same for a while so I went thru that fast.

And the final touch our new banner with our new logo.

Waa-La.  Done!  DIMEX VIVÉ, jk.  It was freaking hot that day and only brought with me a little gallon of water, it didn’t last very long, but it did the job.

Our Give-away table was full of stuff as you see here, it has grown with time at first it was hand made flyers and stickers now I added dope collectible flyers, a small sticker some posters of our Illustrations just in case you don’t buy a shirt and some business cards just in case someone wants to do business  :).  Believe or not this flies out every time.

Our new screened full color shirts are bagged individually and tagged with a nice little surprise inside to thank our loyal customers.

The Place started to get packed as the people came and went the presentations at the main stage had begun.  Poetry, Music, Story telling, B-Boys and great music surrounded the center of the school entertaining the hundreds of people there.

This guy started busting a move that honestly looks like it takes much practice and dedication.  After the show he came over to the booth and purchased a A Sus Ordenes Tee, telling me I have to represent every time I preform.

Woahhh.  Nice.

This guy busted a flip here, insane.

Mezklah came to the stage at the middle of the show tearing it down as always.

Later that day I got kinda bored and started drawing some concepts, okay here’s a sneek peek, don’t tell anyone I wouldn’t want this to appear in another clothing line in the future, jeje.

Had some dope snacks, including una Agua de Horchata, Watermelon, Churritos con chile, Tacos con frijoles y papitas, y un Vaso de Futras con Chile.  What can I say I love the culinary arts of my country.  It was so good.

Ashley caught me thinking and dosing off cause I was ready to knock out.

Ahh False alarm I almost did I lasted for at least six more hours, crazy.

In the end, I met a lot of cool people some possible leads and what’s most important new people got to see our beautiful brand, there-fore adding to our loyal customers.  Saludos.

What The, Thunder Bolts

Crazy thunder started two nights ago and was pretty scary, I honestly thought that I was going to get hit by one on the way home, they felt so close.  When I got home I found my sis talking to her boyfriend and my kid spying on them, “What the hell are you guys doing outside?”He said “nothing” well he cant’ talk yet but probably in his  mind.  The thunder kept going and going, the TV was down, Fuck Charter they suck as a company, let me see what else.  Oh yeah started to play with Jules and also took some dope pics with my sucky camera of the rain hoping to catch a lighting bolt but no luck.Jules just kept playing like nothing was going on, it’s weird how babies see the world without a care or knowledge that if one of those bolts hits his little head it would kill him in an instant, but hey fuck it all he kept saying was “wawa” Translation “Water”.Then I picked him up and I don’t know how the heck he hit my face, but broke my beat up glasses in half.  He honestly got a good shot at them a perfect shot in the middle.I wasn’t mad at all these suckers were ready to retire any moment and it had to be on this day, RIP Fucked up Swap Meet Glasses we had a lot of adventures together (I’ll post images of that some other time, Thrust me you’ll want to see them)It’s time for new ones and also time for me to go, well in the end it wasn’t the end of the world cause it’s not 2012 yet but it was a warning from gods mainly the one they call TLALOC, the sun came out like nothing and stopped the crazy ass thunder and rain and the world kept revolving like nothing happen at all, just shows how this world can fuck up the whole human civilization in seconds with out even saying anything, just beautiful we love you mother earth, we love you.  Salud and keep away from big trees they might fall on ya’.  Good Night Fellow Readers of this great T-Shirt Blog.  Good Night.
