CELEBRATING LA MUERTE PART 2

Here’s the video for the Al Borde’s Dia De Los Muertos Show. We showed some of the latest DIMEX designs and were giving away some cool stickers. There was a lot of “Tamales”, I probably ate like three of them a cup of “Champurrado”, two “Conchitas De Dulce” and like two Monsters and all of it for free courtesy of their show sponsors. We saw some incredible art pieces by Luis Genaro Garcia, face painting, plush dolls and got to drink some Jack Daniels mixed drinks. The show was fun, we got to talk to a bunch of people and make a bunch of new friends. It’s a must go for next year. Here are a couple of images I shot. Enjoy.

RECAP: Hollywood Forever Presents Dia De Los Muertos

Going to this event made me realize how much our culture is followed by other cultures. I was surprised to see how many people attended this show that was being held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood. As we got there the line wrapped around the cemetery like a snake and half of the people were dressed and painted like traditional Catrines y Catrinas Similar to those images that Jose Guadalupe Posadas once created.
