Woah this game looks bad ass. I thought it was the game for the movie “Savages” but nah. Check out the trailer, pretty soon your gonna see corridos and banda playing in the back while you are attacking the Mexican Cartels now that would be cool or what if they actually use the names of some of the current drug lords, now that would be crazy.
Hecho en Mexico Trailer-”La Religion Nos Separa, la espiritualidad nos une”. I can’t wait to see this documentary, it literally had me at the edge of my seat and constantly giving me the chills. This is DIMEX, this is who we are, who we are trying to represent in the USA, que mas? nomas. Check it out.
I met John Carlos at an art show at Cal State Northridge like 3 years ago he was showing his paintings and I was selling our DIMEX T-Shirts to the crowd. He came by and introduced himself which was very cool of him and we started talking for a while, he went on and described my brand like no one else had before, I was shocked to see how he broke what we were trying to do with words (something that is very hard for me to do) I honestly wish I would of had a tape recorder cause to this day it’s the closest explanation from a complete stranger to what DIMEX is really about. Check out El Pintor Joh Carlos De Luna for the spot “Latinos R1″ Enjoy.
A little late but here’s my “Corrido Monday” entry El Muchacho De La Barba by Codigo FN. My cousin from Guaymas posted this on his FB page and had to share it with you guys, I thought it was pretty cool. Tell me what you think, Enjoy.
A lot of people say “oh growing up I used to skate and was really good at it” I too have story like that. I started skating when I was 6 or 7 I don’t remember exactly but I used to have an old cheap board my aunt had bought for me in Nogales Arizona when she took her annual trip to buy “Falluca” to re-sell in Guaymas. I had asked her for a skateboard but didn’t tell her which one, so she bought me a very cheap kind with the brake pad in the back and the front lip protector, the wheels where huge and slow as fuck and the design was really ugly. But what the heck to do, I had to use this board and started practicing. I got pretty good, I was mainly jumping off of these wall like side walks you only see in Mexico, they were pretty big and took pride on clearing them out. One day I slipped with the skateboard and it went out flying and a semi truck ran over it. It was the worst day in my 7 yr old life. The kids with the cool boards used to make fun of mine since they had the American brand boards that were huge in the USA. I was pretty good for my age, but then stopped skating when we came to this country, it was very weird. Bones Brigade is the story of the greatest skateboard team ever. Chekalo.
“Se Puede Cuando Se Quiere”. Forget al the injustices and getting taken advantage of, the Cheran people from Michoacan decided to really say enough is enough, they were tired of getting violated by the people with higher power in their village an kicked them out. Narcos, LumberJacks and corrupt officials all gone kicked out by the people and set up guard posts around the town so they won’t come in. These people now live in peace and are ready to defend their freedom. Check out this reportaje on “The New Zapatistas”.
One of my favorite videos about El Chapo. I just like how it begins a lot, I guess we all like stories about going from nothing to something. Check out this Corrido by Fundillo Norteño (Odd Name) Los Recuerdos Del Chapo.
I think I just shed a tear. If you are a huge fan of the classic Mario Brothers Game then this game is for you. The best part is when he turns into a giant and starts crushing and destroying everything. Wow, Mario has been a long way ever since I got my first NES. Enjoy.
Que es Tribal Guarachosos? If you have been to a 3bal MTY performance then you would know. Have you heard that popular song “Intentalo” on the radio then you do know who they are. I had the pleasure of meeting the three guys who make up the group and were all very young and cool, honestly I was a little nervous not because of their super world wide fame but because I really don’t deal with people on a daily basis, I am at work most of the time and if not at home coming out with new ideas for products so “My communication skills are a little off” lol. Anyways their performance was pretty cool and had the crowd jumping, I hope these guys keep the consistency an artist has to keep and come out with newer and sicker tracks. Enjoy.
