Last week we re stocked Olverita’s Village. It’s always like a mission when we head out to Los Angeles, CA to deliver our product. But since it is that it’s always fun to do so. We get to talk to our printer and get some bomb ass food “de las calles de Los Angeles, que mas quieres. hehe”. This time I took the trip with my homie John AKA Works, we picked up our order chatted with our printer then had some bomb “Hamburgesas”, we got the classic “Especial” The one with the huge burger and a full plate of fries, the one you find in every American diner runned by Koreans but cooked by Mexicans hehe. That shit was bomb so we headed to deliver the order and took some amazing pictures of the stuff they have to sell aside of our brand hehe. Enjoy.
You probably ask yourselves, “Why does he post a lot about upcoming movies”? Well the main reason is because I am a huge movie fan, a lot of my inspiration and motivation comes from new exciting movies, I almost have to be watching them all the time in order to do work. But this movie, I mean the trailer makes this movie one of the most exciting up and coming films this year. You have to look at it for yourself in order to understand what I mean. Put it in HD, Full Screen, turn everything off, bump up the volume, put your wacom pen or mouse down and just enjoy. The sickest.

Last weekend was awesome it was great seeing all of you at the Chicano Park show in San Diego and hope we can see you guys next year again as we will most definitely be atteding the show better than ever. Cinco De Mayo is coming up and Santa Ana is having their 12th annual festival, we will be vending and listening to some great music, Ozomatli, Fobia and The Mexican Institute Of Sounds, what else is there to want, oh yeah some bomb Mexican Food to accompany it all. This is what my friend said about this movie “This movie make Clash of the Titans look like the Gummby adventures ..jajaja! !” and I must agree. Check out these characters, why can’t they make a freaking aztec movie like this, what the hell do they need? Really.
If you saw the movie 300, then you are going to like this one, might even love it more than 300. Sick graphics, dope story behind it, and what more can I say “sick graphics” again! hehe. Well enjoy the trailer.
Last monday I was super excited since I was going to be receiving a very important new addition to the brand. I got tired of waiting and since I had to travel to L.A. that day I was ready to go when a little truck pulled up and I knew it was what I was waiting for a whole two weeks. Early this March we took a mini vacation to re-charge the DIMEX batteries and decided to go to Guaymas Sonora and visit the family and enjoy the annual Carnaval.
As soon as we got there there was this mini cold wind that was unusual to the Guaymas Climate, I’m used to the hot humid weather that is sued with a cold Pacifiquito and a dip into the beaches of the Sea of Cortez. We got there a little early but didn’t mind since we had a lot of Familia to visit. The day finally came and we headed down to “La Serdan”.
And it began, I had my mini hielera filled with Pacifiquitos and had my camera ready. The floats are always cool, the queens and princesses are beautiful and the crowd amazing.
I bought some “Cascarones” which are egg shells filled with confetti and as I got a little more buzzed I found myself throwing them towards the floats like every other kid in the parade.
After a while the crowd got a little to big for me so I decided to go back and chill by where my aunt was with her homies. They were all pistiando and having a great time.
My favorite float had to be this one, it was simple as hell but I loved the way these chicks were dressed and the way they were dancing, it was like an old school Burlesque theme that reminded me of cowboy western days. Haha.
The Coca-Cola float always present, along with the Coca-Cola Girls drinking “Un Bote De Tecate” honestly by now a lot of people are getting their buzz on. Even the performers.
This guy was pretty cool he was just walking around with his cane posing like a true gentleman, then I asked my aunt who he was and it was funny because she actually did know who he was along with half of the older crowd in the parade, in little towns like this you are well known by someone. That’s cool.
My future “Ahijado” Alan was enjoying the parade his first in his life hehe. I am going to become his godfather on June and will be back to the home land again.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention “Las edecanes” at every expendio, just wanted to share this image with you. If you ever want to visit Guaymas don’t forget to visit San Carlos and Miramar and please try to eat at every street cart, you wont regret it unless you don’t like good food. Ohh and no there’s no Narco killings here in fact there’s no killings in a lot of the cities in Mexico.
