El Dicho for this week is “Tell me who you hang out with and I will tell you who you are” meaning, you will be seen to be like the people you hang around with. Therefore, if your hanging out with the bad crowd, people are going to think that you are like that. This is true hang with the wrong crowd and you will almost to surely become it. Think about who you are hanging with, are they helping you conquer your goals, or are they just holding you back? Saludos

My dad would mention this “Dicho” to me every time I would mess up on something, he knew I didn’t want to do it and would say “El Burro Trabaja Doble” the ass works twice, meaning if you do things without thinking you would have to eventually do it until done right. I would always get mad but deep down inside I knew he was right. So make sure to think before you act. Enjoy.
When I first listened to RATM I didn’t know American Bands sang these type of songs, I was in total awe. I started to listen to most of their songs and purchasing most of their recorded live concerts my favorite being “The Battle Of Mexico City”. From that point on I wished to see them live some day. That opportunity came when they reunited for one more time at the “Rock The Bells Show” and to tell you the truth they did not disappoint. Here are some images of their album covers, enjoy.

Spirit of cuahtemoc alive an untamed
Face tha funk now blastin’ out ya
Speaker, on the one maya, mexica
That volture came ta try and steal ya name but
Now you found a gun

The “Dicho” of today means that if you fall asleep when a great opportunity is given to you, that same opportunity that might change your life for ever can go away. My dad always mentions this to me when I lag it on certain things, it’s a way to keep you on your toes, hehe. Enjoy.
Hugo Martinez’s work blew me away when I saw his finished mural at “La Casa De Mexico” it took me back to what inspired me to become an artist myself and get inspired through Mexican history and art. “We are different, and you can feel it when you walk in here.” is what he said in his recent interview with Los Angeles Times. Here are some images from this master piece. Suave.
